Animation activities in your home: Bring your toys (and other stuff) to life!

Tina Le Moine will guide you through an easy animation lesson using a phone, iPad or other recording device. Post your film with the hashtag #oiaf2020

Animation activities in your home: Make your drawings jump off the page!

Do your parents have too much paper piling up from all those online orders? Use that stack to draw some crazy creatures and then make them move.
All you need is some paper, a scissor and a black pen.

Tina Le Moine will guide you through an easy animation lesson using a phone, iPad or other recording device. Post your film with the hashtag #oiaf2020

 OIAF KIDS JURY 2020

Who better to judge animation made for kids, than kids? The winners of the OIAF competition categories Animation for Young Audiences (Preschool) and Animation for Young Audiences (Ages 6-12) will be chosen by a jury of Ottawa animation enthusiasts, aged 8-12.

Ten jury members will be divided into two juries to judge one of the two Young Audiences categories. Each jury member will be given an AnimaPass, so they can watch their assigned competition, and their whole household can enjoy the entire OIAF online! Each jury will meet over Zoom with this year’s Jury Coordinator to deliberate and choose their winners before presenting the award at the online Awards Ceremony.

This year's jury is:

Young Audiences Jury (6-12)
Elliot Chamberlain, Lia Braun, Eliah Gies, Ringo Caffrey, Anna Picketts, Ellery Beck

Young Audiences Jury (Pre-School)
Misha Sink, Simon Marshall, Sarah Keeling, Kai Stark, Wilson Caffrey, Phineas Beck

Make sure you join in the fun next year (2021)!
