Kids Jury

Who better to judge animation made for kids, than kids? The winners of the OIAF competition categories Animation for Young Audiences (Preschool) and Animation for Young Audiences (Ages 6-12) will be chosen by a jury of Ottawa animation enthusiasts, aged 8-12.

Ten jury members will be divided into two juries to judge one of the two Young Audiences categories. Each jury member will be given an AnimaPass, so they can watch their assigned competition, and their whole household can enjoy the entire OIAF online! Each jury will meet over Zoom with this year’s Jury Coordinator to deliberate and choose their winners before presenting the award at the online Awards Ceremony.

If you want to be on the OIAF Kids Jury this year, you’ll send us an email that includes:

  • One paragraph about your favourite animated film
  • Your full name
  • Your age
  • Your parent/guardian’s name and email address

Send your email to OIAF Festival Administrator, Tish Chambers, at before September 11, 2020 to be considered for the jury.

The selected jury members will be contacted by Sept. 16 with more information about how and when they will watch the films and deliberate with the other jury members.
