Jermaine Turner

Jermaine Turner is Vice President, Development, Disney Television Animation, a role he was promoted to in 2020. In this role, Turner oversees animated series and movie development for the Disney Channel audience of kids 6-11, and for Disney+. During his over 20-year tenure at Disney, Turner has worked across live-action and animated programming as both a current series and development executive. Initially joining Disney to help build the action-adventure platform Jetix, Turner has since overseen a multitude of series including “Kim Possible,” “Power Rangers,” “Lego Star Wars” and several Marvel animated series including “Ultimate Spider-Man,” “Avengers Assemble” and “Guardians of the Galaxy.” He also helped launch Lucasfilm’s “Star War Rebels.” Currently, Turner is working on the development of a number of series and movies for Disney Channel and Disney+ as well as overseeing the production of the upcoming Disney+ series, “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.” Prior to Disney, Turner began his career as a development assistant at Fox Kids. In that role, he supported the development team on such shows as Young Hercules, Digimon, and Transformers. He’s a graduate of New York University with a BFA in Film and Television. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two young daughters.
