Daniel Chong is a two-time Annie Award winner and the creator of Cartoon Network’s Emmy-nominated animated series, “We Bare Bears.” Chong also serves as executive producer on “We Bare Bears The Movie”, as well as on the spinoff series, focused around the baby bear characters. Both the movie and spinoff series are currently in production at Cartoon Network Studios. In 2018, “We Bare Bears” won its first Annie Award in the Best Animated Television/Broadcast Production for Children category followed by a Jury Award for a TV Series at Annecy. In 2016, the series was awarded a British Academy Children’s Award in the international category. Chong won his first Annie Award for his storyboarding work on Pixar’s first television special, “Toy Story of Terror!” His additional credits include Pixar’s 2015 film “Inside Out,” “Cars 2,” and Disney Feature Animation’s “Bolt.” Chong is the co-producer of the popular web blog My Milk Toof, which was published by Chronicle Books in 2011. A native of Southern California, he has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration from California State University, Long Beach and has attended California Institute of the Arts.
